Web Application / Database Developer

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Web Application / Database Developer preferably with interest in CRM / Marketing Automation. This position requires a creative person with great attention to detail, the ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently as well as a member of a team.

This role requires a motivated individual with a great knowledge of web application development. Designing and maintaining object oriented web applications that can scale and handle thousands of concurrent users is critical. This individual must also be capable in designing front end components using DHTML.

Individual may also be involved in database development tasks as needed. Experience with client data analysis, data transformation development (primarily using SQL), data aggregation and summarization for reporting purposes, customizing and deploying third party software products, application testing, end user support and ongoing operations support is all very helpful.

The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding customer service skills, and a willingness to work hard. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic, motivated candidate to join up with a small organization that actually gets things done.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years experience including full lifecycle implementations
• Solid programming experience (PHP preferable, Java OK) utilizing object oriented design patterns. Must have knowledge of designing scalable applications.
• Proficient designing and implementing dynamic web applications (AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
• Knowledge of web development frameworks - both front end and back end (examples include Prototype, YUI, CakePHP, CodeIgniter)
• Experience with web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL, XMLRPC)
• Application design, testing and support experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills

Ideal candidate would also have:

• Oracle database design, performance tuning, administration
• Perl experience including DBI / DBD module
• VLDB design, support in a DSS environment
• Strong SQL skills (preferably Oracle) including understanding of:
• In line table queries
• Nested / Correlated queries
• Outer / Inner joins
• SQL functions environment
• Unix / Linux scripting experience (Perl, Shell, Python)
• UNIX / Windows administration, support
• Database striping setup, support
